If you’re a music fan and are familiar with the Nashville music scene, you’ve probably heard about Cali Rodi. Maybe you’ve been following her career since she signed with Keith Urban’s publishing company two years ago. If not, here’s the perfect chance to get acquainted with the self-described “musical glitter bomb” herself.
Today, Cali released a new single, “Cake,” which she cowrote with friends and fellow songwriters Vanessa Campagna, Kipp Williams, and Bryan Shackle. The catchy, electrifying track follows “Party Favor,” which was released last year.
Like most of her music, Cali Rodi’s newest song promotes female empowerment. Rodi sings “you can’t have your cake and eat it,” describing how you can’t have all the benefits of a committed relationship without the label.
